Texas City, TX (2/12/2020) – A young man is dead after being electrocuted following a crash into a utility pole Saturday.
The incident happened in Texas City, Texas when Fabian Garnica, 20, and his girlfriend crashed into a utility pole on the side of Highway 146.
Both Garnica and his girlfriend, Destiny Wallace, survived the crash. Garnica stepped out to survey the damage, but he stepped directly onto a downed power line and was electrocuted.
Wallace was taken to the emergency room for treatment of injuries. It was revealed she was pregnant with Garnica’s baby.
Investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
