El Paso, TX (7/24/2021) – A man was killed after a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in El Paso.
The accident happened on Copia Street and East Yandell Drive in central El Paso around 2:35 p.m. between a Chevrolet Avalanche and a Honda Accord. The Honda Accord was turning left onto Copia when a Chevrolet Avalanche came at high speeds and hit the Honda.
The impact caused the truck to roll and dragged the Honda along with it. The truck also hit an unoccupied vehicle.
The driver of the Honda, 65-year-old Aispuro Perfecto Beltran, was killed due to his injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 22-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
