Man Killed, Another Person Injured in Semi-Truck Rollover Wreck

Gray County, TX (11/1/2020) – A man is dead and another person is injured after a semi-truck crashed on Interstate 40 Sunday night. 

The accident happened around 7:40 p.m. when a Kenworth semi-truck driven by 51-year-old Billy Hardin was headed eastbound on I040 over an overpass. For unknown reasons, Hardin struck the concrete barriers on the north and south side of the overpass before crashing through a metal guardrail. The semi then rolled down an embankment. 

Hardin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hardin’s passenger, 32-year-old Sheila Conrad, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
