Austin, TX (4/25/2021) – A man was killed in a crash on U.S. 183 in a fatal two-vehicle wreck.
The accident occurred around 9:25 p.m. near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport south of Onion Creek. A Nissan Versa was headed northbound on 183 when a Dodge Ram failed to yield while leaving a private drive. The Dodge then hit the front right-side of the Nissan. The Nissan then rolled into the median.
The driver of the Nissan, 71-year-old Robert Pineda, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
