Hutto, TX (9/27/2021) – A man was killed and a passenger was injured after a single-vehicle wreck in Hutto.
The accident happened on US 79 when a Ford F-150 pickup truck traveled off the roadway, overcorrected, rolled over, and crashed into a tree.
The driver, 23-year-old Layne Alexander Watkins, was killed at the scene.
His 19-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
