Harrison County, TX (8/29/2021) – A man was killed and a passenger was critically injured after a late Sunday crash on I-20.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. when a vehicle left the roadway and crashed into trees in the median.
The driver of the car, 58-year-old Douglas Whitson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, 68-year-old Danny Macon, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
