Texarkana, Texas (Sept. 2, 2022) – Marolin Gardner, 63, was struck by an alleged intoxicated driver late Friday night. Police say that Christopher Telles, 42, was traveling north near the 2000 block of State Line, when he drove his 2015 Ram 2500 into the opposite lane of traffic. Telles struck a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Gardner.
Gardner was killed as a result of the crash, with a child passenger being taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Telles was arrested for intoxicated manslaughter & intoxicated assault.
