Marshall, TX (11/26/2019) –
A deadly auto-pedestrian accident left one man dead Wednesday morning, November 25, on U.S. Highway 59.
The accident occurred in the 100 block of East End Boulevard around 6 a.m. when May Wayne Diggs, 40, was crossing the street outside the crosswalk was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound.
Diggs was pronounced dead at the scene.
The northbound lane of Highway 59 was closed for a time between Travis and Houston streets after the accident.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
