Howe, TX (9/22/2021) – A Missouri resident was killed after a crash in Howe Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on the southbound lanes of U.S. 75 when a Dodge Challenger crashed into the rear of a parked car that was on the side of the road.
The person in the parked car, 28-year-old Jordan Helenkamp, was killed at the scene.
A passenger in the Challenger was sent to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Dodge, 20-year-old Guillermo Munoz Garcia, was not injured. He was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
