Canton, TX (September 3, 2019) – A mother and her three children were ejected from their car after a collision with an 18-wheeler near Canton, Texas.
The car accident happened on Monday, September 2nd around 5:00 p.m. on I-20. Texas Department of Public Safety investigators are still determining what caused the crash.
The mom and two of her children were ejected from the vehicle while an infant was rescued from the car by first responders.
The children were transported to a local hospital. Their condition is undetermined.
The mother, identified as 29-year-old Elizabeth Leigh Lindsey, was air lifted to CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital. She passed away later that night.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
