Motorcycle-SUV Crash Left Two People Hospitalized

Angelina County, TX (1/28/2020) – An accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV left two people in the hospital Saturday evening.

The accident occurred on US 59 in Angelina County. According to DPS, a Ford SUV was headed north in the inside lane around 6:20 a.m. Two motorcycles also in the inside lane tried to avoid a collision with the SUV by going to the left of the ford then reentering the lane, but ended up striking the left front portion of the SUV.

The driver of the motorcycle, 46-year-old Jeremy Torrence, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The passenger traveling with Torrence, 44-year-old Barbara Delong, was taken to another hospital via helicopter for treatment of injuries.

The driver of the SUV, 64-year-old Linda Frankens, was not injured.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
