Lubbock, TX (11/21/2019) – A motorcyclist is now hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a collision with an SUV Wednesday night.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. near 50th Street and Utica Avenue when a Ford Expedition was going east in the center turn lane on 50th Street and a TOAT motorcycle was heading west. According to the police, the SUV did not yield and hit the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
