Lubbock, TX (4/21/2021) – A two-vehicle crash left a motorcyclist injured Friday evening in Lubbock.
The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. on East FM 1585. An eastbound pickup truck was attempting to make a left turn when it failed to yield to a westbound motorcycle.
The vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist, identified as 46-year-old Eric Taber Bollinger, was transported to University Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 30-year-old David Daniel Alvarado, 30 was arrested at the scene. According to Lubbock County Detention Center records, Alvarado was charged with intoxicated assault with a motor vehicle causing serious bodily injury.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
