Houston, TX (7/29/2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a fatal hit-and-run wreck Thursday morning.
The accident happened on Highway 290 when a Ford F-150 crashed into a red Hingfu moped in the westbound lanes. The Ford then fled the scene.
A Good Samaritan tracked down the Ford and the driver, 45-year-old Cahleb Shane Moser, was eventually arrested. He appeared in court overnight on one count of Intoxication Manslaughter and one count of Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
The motorcyclist, 38-year-old Carl Justin Bumgarner, was killed at the scene.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
