Coryell County, TX (3/23/2021) – A motorcyclist is dead after a pickup truck hit a motorcycle on Tuesday.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on FM 166 at an intersection. A Dodge 1500 pickup truck was stopped on Willow Loop while a Harley Davidson was headed southbound on FM 116 approaching Willow Loop.
The Dodge failed to yield the right-of-way at the stop sign and pulled out in front of the motorcycle and the motorcycle hit the truck’s rear left side.
Billy Ray Miler, 55, was taken to Baylor Scott & White with incapacitating injuries, where he later died.
The driver of the Dodge, a woman in her 70s, and her condition remain unknown.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
