Anderson County, TX (1/20/2020) – An elderly woman died Thursday after being involved in a fatal two-vehicle wreck in Anderson County.
The accident occurred around 5:43 p.m. on FM 3224.
Nedra Parham Smith, 77, was driving her Chevrolet Silverado on a private road with the intention of crossing FM 3224. That’s when 55-year-old Oben Edbe drove his Ford F-150 north on FM 3224 and struck Smith’s vehicle on her left side.
Smith was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
Edbe suffered minor injuries. He was treated at the scene.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
