Orange, TX (August 26, 2019) – A young couple died in a car crash minutes after their wedding.
The car accident happened Friday, August 23rd around 3:00 p.m. near the Justice of Peace lot at Orange County Airport and Highway 87.
High school sweethearts, Harley Morgan, 19, and Rhiannon Boudreaux, 20, were leaving the Justice of the Peace where they were married.
According to authorities, the couple was driving a 2004 Chevrolet, when they were merging onto the highway when they collided with a 2015 Ford F-250 pickup truck towing a trailer. The couple died on impact.
Justice of the Peace Joy Dubose-Simonton, who performed the wedding, attended their bodies as coroner.
The driver of the pickup wasn’t injured.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
