Jacinto City, Texas (Oct. 12, 2022) – A nine-year-old child was killed in front of his home, after being struck by a vehicle that had just dropped him off from school.
Jacinto City Police are reporting that the child was struck in the 10500 block of Pillot Street at around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the driver may have been distracted at the time of the collision. According to reports the vehicle was operated by a private entity that takes children to and from Jacinto Elementary School.
Other children were reportedly in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Police say no one else was hurt, however, the other children were upset.
Charges have not been brought up forward at this time as Police continue their investigation.
