Arlington, Texas (June 27, 2022) – 22-year-old Keymon Jones was killed following a collision with an intoxicated driver on Monday morning. According to local authorities, a man now identified as Bryan Lizarzaburo Penafiel, drove his 2007 BMW 328i through the East Arbrook Boulevard intersection, running the light. When Penafiel crossed into the intersection, He struck a 2008 Ford Focus who had the legal right of way according to police.
Police say that Penafiel was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries following the crash. Once released by medical personnel, he will be released into police custody on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.
