San Antonio, Texas (July 2, 2022) – A woman was critically injured following a rear-end collision with a speeding motorist. The woman was riding in the back passenger seat of a Toyota Highlander SUV when the accident happened. The collision occurred in the 1800 block of Hackberry at Rigsby at around 10:57 p.m. on July 2. The passenger was taken to a local medical center for serious bodily injuries. She is said to be in critical condition.
The Highlander was struck from behind by a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro traveling northbound in the right land of Hackberry St. According to local officials, the Camaro was speeding and failed to stay in his lane. Police say that the driver of the Camaro showed no signs of intoxication and the driver has been determined to have been driving recklessly and is at fault for the crash. The driver was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
