One Killed, Another Person Injured after Semi-Truck Collision in Waco

Waco, TX (4/27/2020) – One person was killed and another person was left with serious injuries Friday after being involved in a semi-truck crash in Waco.

The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. at E. Loop 340 and Idylwood for a traffic crash involving a small four-door car and a semi-truck.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene.

Another person was trapped inside the sedan.

Waco Fire Department worked on the vehicle to free the person trapped for nearly an hour. That person was transported to a local hospital and listed in critical condition.

The driver of the semi-truck ran away from the scene and has not yet been found.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
