One Killed, One Injured in Three-Vehicle Wreck

Ellis County, TX (12/14/2020) – A person was killed and another was injured after a three-vehicle wreck occurred in Ellis County.

The accident happened Monday around 3:06 p.m. when a three-vehicle wreck occurred one mile south of the Kaufman County line. A Buick Century was headed north on SH 34 while a white Ford Expedition was headed south with a grey Ford F250 towing a black flatbed trailer following behind. 

For unknown reasons, the Expedition slowed down, causing the pickup to collide into the rear of the Expedition. The impact then caused the Expedition to veer into the northbound lane and strike the Buick.

The driver of the Buick, 75-year-old Fannie Moore, was killed at the scene. 

The driver of the Expedition, 24-year-old Alexander Jones, was flown to the hospital with injuries.

The driver of the Ford, 30-year-old Marcus Adams, was not injured.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
