One Killed, Two Hospitalized in Gregg County Wreck

Gregg County, TX (3/23/2020) -One person was killed and two were left injured after a fatal wreck Friday in Gregg County.

The accident happened in Longview on State Highway 300. A Dodge Ram driven by Aaron Barbosa-Valerio, 23, collided into a Buick Enclave driven by 65-year-old Rucker Steven Murry. Barbosa-Valerio reportedly was headed at high speeds for the road conditions and traveled into the southbound lanes.

A passenger in the Enclave, Cynthia Browne Murry, 66, was killed.

Murry was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

Barbosa-Valerio was taken to a nearby hospital, also.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

The family of Cynthia Browne Murry may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Family members may seek damages for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, and emotional distress due to this tragic car accident.
