One Killed, Two Injured in Head-On Collision

San Angelo, TX (1/7/2021) – One person was killed after a two-vehicle head-on collision occurred Thursday night.

The collision happened around 8:50 p.m. on US 277 when a Toyota Rav 4 attempted to pass a truck-tractor with a semi-trailer. A Ford Escape was headed southbound on the road while the Toyota was passing the semi-truck. The two vehicles collided with each other head-on. 

The passenger in the Ford died from their injuries. 

The driver of the Toyota, 45-year-old Thao N Le, was taken to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries. 

The driver of the Ford, 49-year-old Bishnu Kumar Paudel, was also taken to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.  

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led to the accident, and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
