Carthage, Texas (8/7/2020) – A driver is now dead and another person is injured after a fatal crash occurred in Panola County on Wednesday.
The accident happened on Farm-to-Market Road 2517 around 2:30 p.m. when a vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and struck a truck on the opposite side of the highway.
The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Ricardo Rodriquez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
