Walker County, TX (3/9/2020) – One person was fatally killed after a collision between a vehicle and a semi-truck Sunday.
The accident happened on Interstate 45 in Walker County around 6:30 a.m. According to troopers, 25-year-old Deshaun Williams halted his vehicle in the northbound lane of the interstate. That’s when a semi-truck collided into his vehicle. Fire erupted and damaged the semi-truck and Williams’s vehicle.
Williams died at the scene.
It’s been reported he may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
The driver of the semi-truck survived the collision.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
