One Person Killed, Two Injured in Wreck on U.S. 183

Austin, TX (4/28/2021) – A deadly crash on Wednesday left one person killed and two others injured.

The accident happened on U.S. 183 to southbound MoPac Expressway between two vehicles.

As a result of the wreck, a person was killed and two others were sent to the hospital with minor injuries. APD said a work truck collided with a Ford F-250 pickup truck and both vehicles lost control. They came to rest against a concrete wall on the flyover.

APD also said the driver of the F-250 was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the pickup were injured, and the driver of the work truck was not hurt.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
