One Person Left Dead after Multi-Vehicle Wreck

El Paso, TX (5/12/2020) – A three-vehicle wreck between a motorcycle, a vehicle, and a tractor-trailer left one person dead in El Paso.

Jesus Enrique Herrera, 19, was on his motorcycle traveling westbound on I-10 when he attempted to pass a Chrystler 200 driven by Araceli Duran, 46. He struck the Chrystler’s rear and slid across the interstate after separating from his motorcycle. A tractor-trailor driven by 36-year-old Tahirt Tasfahsayan swerved to avoid Herrera but ultimately struck him.

Herrera suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
