Angelina County, TX (11/27/2019) – A person is dead and one other is injured after a single-vehicle crash on Scotty Beard Road Friday evening.
According to the investigation, at around 7:45 p.m., a Chevrolet pickup was traveling east when it drove off the roadway, overcorrected to the left, and ultimately struck a tree.
The driver, identified as 49-year-old Alejandro Garcia, was killed at the scene.
A passenger riding with Garcia was transported to CHI St. Luke’s and then to Hermann Hospital in Houston for treatment of injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
