Passenger Fatally Killed after Rollover Wreck

Ozona, TX (7/6/2021) – A passenger was fatally killed after a rollover wreck caused by a tire blowout. 

Who Is Responsible for a Tire Blowout Accident in Texas?

The accident occurred around 3 p.m. on Friday when the Ford Expedition right rear tire blew out while on Interstate 10 East. The Ford lost control, veered left leaving the roadway, entered a side skid and then rolled multiple times. 

Passenger Silvia Casillas, 53, was partially thrown from the vehicle. She died from her injuries.

Driver Enrique Casillas, 51, was taken to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of possible internal injuries.  

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
