Claude, TX (6/11/2020) – A passenger is now dead after a single-vehicle wreck Sunday morning in Claude.
The accident happened on State Highway 207 when a Chevrolet Lumina veered off the roadway into the barrow ditch after the driver lost control of the vehicle from overcorrecting the steering. The driver and Charles were both ejected.
Passenger David Charles, 65, died as a result of the accident.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
