Harris County, TX (11/25/2020) – A woman is now dead after being involved in a train-vehicle accident in Houston on Wednesday.
The accident happened on Sheldon Road around 5 p.m. when Brittinie Green drove her BMW X3 into the southbound lanes, went around the railroad crossing arms, and crossed the railroad tracks just as a train was coming.
Green and her passenger, Rhonda Clay, were hit by an Amtrak train. Clay was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Green was taken to Memorial Hermann via Life Flight.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
