Houston, TX (2/20/2020) – A Houston man is now dead after a deadly hit-and-run accident occurred Wednesday night in north Houston.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at Rittenhouse Street and Airline Drive when he was hit by a speeding pickup truck. He was crossing the street at the time of a street race between two vehicles
The man was killed at the scene. His body came to a rest under a different car waiting to turn at a traffic light.
Said driver remained at the scene.
Police located the pickup truck and arrested the driver.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
