Pedestrian Killed in Deadly Crosswalk Accident

Houston, TX (10/26/2020) – A pedestrian was killed while walking in a crosswalk in Houston early Monday morning.

The accident occurred on Westheimer Road around 3:30 a.m. A driver sped through the intersection and hit a person walking in the crosswalk. 

The pedestrian was killed at the scene.

The driver, who was not immediately identified, faces charges of failure to stop and render aid and intoxication manslaughter.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
