Franklin, KY (7/8/2020) – A pedestrian is now dead after being struck by a tractor-trailer in Kentucky.
The accident happened on Interstate 65 in Simpson County just before 3 a.m. Monday. Otokini Wokoma, 23, of Temple, Texas, was running across the middle lane of northbound I-65 when he was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Edgar Martinez, 39.
Wokoma was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown if Martinez was injured or not.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
