Pedestrian Struck, Killed by SUV in Spring

auto pedestrian accident

Spring, TX (12/16/2019) – A woman is dead after getting hit by an SUV while attempting to cross the road in Spring Sunday night.

The accident occurred just after 9 p.m. in the 21400 block of Falvel Road. Deputies say a 22-year-old male driving a Volkswagen SUV going south struck a woman who was crossing the road. The driver pulled over half a mile later and called 911 as well as his parents.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

According to deputies, the area is not well lit. A witness also told deputies she saw the pedestrian walk out in front of the vehicle.

Areas, especially unwell-lit areas, are a hazard for pedestrians, especially at night. Motorists frequently fail to see pedestrians on or alongside busy roads, and it only takes a second for a serious accident to occur. Because there are many conflicting factors that led to woman’s death, legal assistance may be essential to figure out who may be exactly at-fault.
