Pedestrian Woman Injured in Parking Lot Accident

San Antonio, TX (12/12/2019) – A woman was injured in the parking lot of a bar after a truck hit her in San Antonio, according to police.

The crash happened just after midnight near the Speedway Sports Bar in the 9000 block of Marbach Road. According to police, the woman reportedly was wearing dark clothing. The driver of the truck did not see her.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she remains in stable condition.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

One of the main reasons personal injury lawyers receive pedestrian accident cases is due to the fact that most drivers don’t see the pedestrian due to weather conditions, because it is dark out, or the type of clothing the pedestrian is wearing. In fact, nearly 50 percent of all pedestrian accidents happen on the weekends and 70 percent occur at night, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
