Dallas, TX (2/25/2020) – A woman is now dead after a fatal wreck occurred Sunday in Dallas.
The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on North Central Expressway. Placida Hernandez-Ramirez was standing outside her car due to it being hit by a different driver. That’s when a 27-year-old woman collided into Hernandez-Ramirez on the northbound lanes of the Expressway.
In the earlier crash, a 28-year-old man hit the back of Hernandez-Ramirez’s car as she slowed down to pass a separate wreck. The impact of this collision pushed her car across the main freeway lanes until it came to a stop in the left middle lane. Police allege he was driving while intoxicated.
Hernandez-Ramirez was killed at the scene.
The 27-year-old woman was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
The 28-year-old man was arrested with a DWI charge.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
