Springtown, TX (12/31/2020) – A pregnant woman and her two children were killed in a fatal car collision on Monday.
The three-car collision occurred on Texas State Highway 199 around 1 p.m. Brittany Counts, 25, was driving a Ford Edge when she lost control of her speed and made a left move to avoid hitting an oncoming GMC pickup truck. Ultimately, the two collided and Counts spun into the westbound lane, where she was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
Counts, her son, and her daughter were killed in the collision.
The driver of the F-150 was hospitalized for injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
