Red-Light Runner Results in Two-Vehicle Collision, Woman Left Dead

Houston, TX (10/30/2019) – One woman is dead after a deadly collision resulted from someone running a red light at a northwest Houston intersection.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Clay and Brittmoore Road. A white Ford Focus was heading south when a black Chrysler Aspen going east collided. The Chrysler spun and hit a utility pole.

The driver of the Chrysler, a 29-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Focus was transported to a hospital. 

No other injuries were reported and no charges have been issued as of yet. 

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Running a red light at a traffic stop is a violation of Texas roadway laws, and a clear indication of negligence.
