Killeen, TX (11/11/2019) – A Killeen man was found lying in the roadway after a hit-and-run accident on Friday night.
The incident happened when a green pickup truck was traveling northbound on Twin Creek Drive when the driver struck 27-year-old Christopher Rivers Jr. The driver fled the scene before officials arrived.
Rivers Jr. was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White in Temple after being transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. He was pronounced dead Saturday evening.
Police are actively searching for the driver in the green pickup truck.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
