Kaufman, TX (1/1/2021) – A single-vehicle crash killed one man and left two others injured Friday morning.
The crash happened around 1:18 a.m. on FM 429 in College Mound. A 1998 Mercury was headed northbound on FM 429 when it veered off the roadway, struck a barrow ditch, and then struck a utility pole.
The driver and rear passenger in the Mercury were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The front passenger was killed at the scene. They were identified as 41-year-old Curtis McClane.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
