Austin, TX (3/28/2021) – Multiple adults and at least one kid were injured in a pin-in crash in southeast Austin on Sunday.
The accident happened near the Circuit of the Americas around 8 p.m. on U.S. Highway 183 at the Maha Loop cross street. Medics say multiple adults and children were involved in the crash – a total of 6 patients.
One person was pinned-in the wreckage and had to be extricated.
One child was taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Two adults were taken to South Austin Medical Center, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with serious injuries. Two other adults were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center.
The sixth victim was taken to South Austin Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
