McGregor, TX (1/7/2020) – A teenager was killed and another person was injured in a wreck overnight in Coryell County of McGregor, Texas.
The incident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and County Road 185 when Cordelia Sloan, 16, was driving her Chevrolet Sedan south on CR 185 when she ran a stop sign and crashed into a pickup truck headed west on Highway 84.
Sloan was killed at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was taken to a nearby hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
According to Texas law, every driver is responsible to obey any and all traffic laws, signals, and signs present on roadways. If not, it can result in major consequences, such as tickets, fines, and much like the situation above, an untimely accident.
Because the actions of Sloan resulted in a hospital visit for the driver of the pickup, a personal injury claim may be entitled.
