Laredo, TX (9/11/2021) – A two-vehicle crash left a teenager killed and others ejected Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 1:42 a.m. near the intersection of International Boulevard and Santiago Drive between a Dodge Ram and a Lexus. Both vehicles were headed south when they collided. They went into the cinderblock walls lining the street. Two people were ejected from their vehicle, a driver and a passenger.
A teen driver, 17, was killed at the scene. He was identified as Julio Jesus Lerma-Montemayor.
Another passenger was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital due to severe injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
