San Marcos, TX (5/28/2020) – Three people are now dead after a deadly rollover wreck in San Marcos on Saturday.
The accident happened on Interstate 35 around 7:40 p.m. Five adults and five children were headed to Austin in a Ford Explorer for Memorial weekend when a tire blew out and the vehicle rolled. Nine people were ejected from the vehicle.
Destiny Bridges, 24, and Sean Thompson, 31, were pronounced dead at the hospital. A 7-year-old recently passed away Tuesday due to injuries from the wreck.
Two other children were also injured and are in stable condition at the hospital.
The other adults, including the driver, were taken to Seton Ascension Hospital in Kyle.
Two other children, ages 8 and 10, did not need hospitalization.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
