Marshall, TX (7/7/2020) – Three people are now dead after a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 59 in Marshall.
The accident happened when the driver of a Ford Expedition, 30-year-old Felecia Sarah-Rach Jefferies, pulled out in front of a Kia Optima driven by Di’ar M Johnson, 21, who was headed north on Highway 59.
Jefferies and an 8-year-old girl identified as Paizley Jeffries-Rhodeswere pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson was taken to a Marshall hospital in serious condition. One of Johnson’s passengers, identified as 21-year-old Mason Mitchell, was also hospitalized and is in serious condition.
Another passenger, identified as Edward Corielle Gray, 24, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
A passenger in the SUV, a 10-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
