Seguin, TX (8/26/2021) – A fiery five-vehicle crash caused three fatalities Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened on Interstate 10 near the State Highway 123 Bypass. A semi-truck transporting meat products lost its load on the roadway. The debris caused another semi-truck to crash into a guardrail and another car in order to avoid the crash.
Authorities say the car went up in flames and that it caused a chain reaction wreck of five vehicles.
Three people were killed in the crash. They were identified as 48-year-old Jason Howell, 36-year-old Jason Sanchez, and 37-year-old Joseph Cline.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
