Three People Killed in Fatal Head-On Collision in Gaines County

Gaines County, TX (7/12/2021) – Three people were killed in a fatal head-on collision Monday afternoon near Denver City.

The accident happened on County Road 211 when a Ford Expedition entered the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Chevrolet 2500 pulling a trailer. 

The driver, 40-year-old Laura Marin, and her passengers were all killed as a result of the accident. Her passengers were identified as 64-year-old Rosalva G. Marin and 16-year-old Alexis Zamarippa. 

The driver of the pickup was taken to Yoakum County Hospital for his injuries.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led to the accident, and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
