Houston, Texas (Oct. 11, 2022) – Two trucks were involved in a deadly crash in the westbound lanes of I-10 East in Houston.
Officials from the Houston Police Department are reporting that the two trucks collided as they approached the I-45 entrance ramp. One driver lost control of his truck, sending him across all lanes of traffic after the initial collision. The driver came to a stop near the ramp, after striking a tree. 
One individual was trapped inside the truck after the accident. First responders were unable to rescue him in time, pronouncing him dead on the scene.
The passenger and driver in the other truck suffered only minor injuries, are both expected to be OK after the accident.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation and police work to determine who was at fault.
